Kobe STILL not giving a fuck

On Friday pretty boy, Mark Cuban, was going over some hypothetical situations that teams are faced with under the NBA's new collective bargaining agreement in a hypothetical attempt to educate the public on the difficulties he and many other owners face.  During this impromptu enlightenment, Cuban chose to use Kobe Bryant as a hypothetical example of a player that an owner would have to consider amnestying in order to stay under the hypothetical luxury tax.

Turns out, Kobe wasn't impressed with Cuban's comments and took it out on  Cuban's Mavs on Sunday to the tune of 38 points on 13-21 from the field with 12 boards and 7 assists for a 103-99 Laker win in Dallas.  (Side note: if the Lakers have any shot of winning games when Kobe takes 21 shots, he needs to make at least this many which he has not done.)  After the game, Kobe bestowed on us the single best tweet of all time.

The Mamba knows he's at a point in his career when he can say whatever the fuck he wants and lucky for all of us, he is.

The Grammys were last night and it seems Blake Griffin has a thing for a certain rotund, British Grammy winner... ah, stereotypes.

JaVale Being JaVale

Huh?

If you didn't know already, JaVale McGee only tweets in RTs and always in all caps.  According to The Score, when asked why, bigdaddywookie said, “I consider myself a trend-setter, so a long time ago I decided, I think it was like a couple months, four months ago, I decided I won’t tweet again, so all I’ll do is retweet. So I technically don’t tweet, I just retweet.”

WHAT?

Trying to understand JaVale is like my 92 year old grandma trying to understand how I can pull up my bank account on my phone.  No hope.  Maybe that's what he's going for?

JR go BOOM

The Spurs came to town and got thrashed by the Knickerbockers.  Probably had something to do with the Spurs playing their 4th in 5 nights, but credit to the Knicks for putting them down after some lackluster performances lately.  JR has been going HAMM all year, and is no stranger to sick reverse jams.  Looks like that commitment to not partying and getting as many tattoos as possible is paying off.


Also, I know I'm a day late, but I'd be remiss to not mention this action from two nights ago:



Blake played one of the worst games of his career, Clips lose their second straight after going 17-0, and he nails the side of the backboard from the supposed easiest shot in basketball. All really shitty things to be sure.  But nothing compares to Golden State's bench mocking him.  I could watch that all day long.  For how much fake tough guy mean-mugging Blake does, it's good to see him get some comeuppance. 

Also, GS is a fun team to watch and Steph Curry has a purrrrty jump shot. Random fact from Chris Palmer: First 200 games: Steph Curry 447 threes, 44%; Ray Allen 310, 37%

JaVale Doin JaVale

Here's a classic JaVale GIF of him celebrating his first career three pointer yesterday against the Clippers in Denver's 92-78 win.  The win snapped the Clippers' ridiculous 17 game win streak.

The hits just keep on coming.  While we're on the subject of JaVale, I'd be remiss not to mention the classic retweet he gave a Twitter user on Christmas Eve.
